Commissioner Joan Mumaugh called the meeting to order at 8:40 a.m..
Present: Maryann Christoffersen, Jay Dahl, Fred Jones and Larry Rouss (Neff)
Absent: Patrick Donlon, Bill Ewing, Scott Kostecka and Gail McNally.
I Banners
Larry Rouss from Neff attended the meeting at the request of the Athletic Directors. The general consensus was that the banner was too wide in comparison to former MEL ÒfeltÓ banners.
Joan gave Larry a sample of the ÒfeltÓ banner so he could send it to the company for a quote on the re-make with size reduction on the vinyl banner. Larry will also provide us with a quote for ÒfeltÓ banners.
II Winter Sports
A. Basketball -- The All League meeting will be held Monday, February 21st in the Armijo gym (Girls at 6:00 and Boys at 7:00).
B. Wrestling -- The League individual meet will be Saturday February 12th at Vacaville High.
III Spring Sports
A. Baseball
1. Maryanne brought the schedule for Spring 2006. This schedule will be voted on at the April Board of Managers.
2. Start time for games: 3:30 until April 4th then the start time moves to 4:00.
B. Badminton Ð The League tournament will be held at Armijo High Ð date to be arranged.
C. Soccer
1. According to League agreement, soccer will start at 3:00 until daylight saving time starts on April 3rd. From April 4th to the end of season start time will be 3:30.
2. All Vacaville home games will start at 3:30 since the games will be played concurrently.
D. Swimming
1. There was a question if swimmers could participate on an outside team for Nationals during season of sport.
2. Coaches are encourage to read CIF Section Rule 600, items D and G.
E. Track Ð The JV culminating meet will be May 6th at Corbus Field. This meet is not to declare a champion.
F. Softball
1. Vintage is concerned with the school rotation on their portion of the League schedule.
2. Concern noted. No change recommended.
IV Fall Sports
A. Football Ð Fred has created a League schedule for 2006, the first year of the re-alignment.
B. Water Polo Ð Jay questioned whether the All League patches for water polo had been distributed to the schools. Patrick was not in attendance to address the question.
V Re-alignment.
Fred gave a brief re-cap of the last realignment meeting.
The current proposal would have all 3 Leagues in Division 1 North with 6 teams. The play-off proposal would then rotate the 3rd place teams with all 3 Leagues.
VI Other
A. Dale Lackey -- Joan reminded everyone that the Dale lackey nominations are due to Barb Franco, Napa High, no later than March 1st.
B. Meeting -- Next AD meeting will be Wednesday, March 2nd, 2005 at 3-Oaks Community Center at 8:30 a.m.
